I started running to win free tickets to my hometown’s esteemed 4th of July Carnival (see below image). I went to a middle school that didn’t have organized sports teams, so I didn’t run for an official team until high school, at LaSalle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island. I kept running in college at Harvard University on their NCAA DI cross country and track teams, and then I utilized my fifth year of eligibility at Iona College for an indoor and outdoor track season. Post-collegiately I’ve run for Williamsburg Track Club, the Jacuzzi Boys Athletic Club, and Brooklyn Track Club. I’m an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon with a time of 2:39.04.
